No instrument comes as close to the human voice as the cello. In this varied program of the most beautiful music for choir and cello, Quirine Viersen melds her instrument with heavenly choral sounds in music by Bach, Pärt and Arenski, among others.
Netherlands Radio Choir
The Groot Omroepkoor is the only professional choir in the Netherlands specializing in symphonic choral repertoire, ranging from the great well-known works of all eras to the latest music they perform at the NTR ZaterdagMatinee, the AVROTROS Vrijdagconcert and The Sunday Morning Concert, among others. Cellist Quirine Viersen
Quirine Viersen is internationally among the most prominent musical personalities of her generation. With her intense, expressive and virtuoso cello playing, she continually succeeds in convincing colleagues, press and public of her great musicality and mastery. Like no other, she can fuse her instrument with the heavenly choral sounds of the Groot Omroepkoor.
