AVROTROS VIRTUOOS Talents
The AVROTROS VIRTUOOS talent development program gives young classical musicians a significant boost at the start of their careers. The talents gain media experience on radio and TV and build their portfolio by recording and releasing their debut CD. Three young AVROTROS VIRTUOOS top talents (violinist Hawijch Elders, pianist Ivan Petrenko, and cellist Stefano Bruno) showcase their best under the inspiring guidance of the Radio Philharmonic Orchestra.

C.Ph.E. Bach, Tchaikovsky, Saint-Saëns, and Shostakovich
Violinist Hawijch Elders shines in the lyrical splendor of Tchaikovsky’s*Méditation*and Saint-Saëns’s extraordinarily virtuosic*Introduction et rondo capriccioso*. Ivan Petrenko brings a fresh vitality to Shostakovich’sSecond Piano Concerto, and Stefano Bruno takes center stage with C.Ph.E. Bach’s virtuosic and dazzlingThird Cello Concerto. These last two pieces both contrast their cheerful nature with an unearthly beautiful slow movement, in which the two soloists make their instruments sing.
