Truls Mørk in Shostakovich's First Cello Concerto

Tender, introverted, fiery and passionate', Truls Mørk's playing is all of these, according to The Strad. He has the audience captivated from the first to the last note'. The celebrated Norwegian cellist is soloing Shostakovich with the Radio Philharmonic Orchestra. His First Cello Concerto is colourful, reflective but sometimes also fierce and caustic. Mørk in one of the most intense works for his instrument.

Rachmaninoff

The Radio Philharmonic Orchestra pairs Shostakovich with Rachmaninoff. Dima Slobodeniouk, a much-loved guest conductor of the orchestra, leads the expressive Third Symphony. It is full of surprises for the listener. Is what you hear melancholy or exuberance - or perhaps both at the same time? A Russian concert full of overwhelming moments.
