In 2016, the first Great Sing Along Concert took place. An idea of the Groot Omroepkoor to let enthusiastic singers participate in a professional choral performance, including workshops and rehearsals. From all over the country (overwhelmingly) choral singers applied. Interest has not waned since. Subsequent editions have included work with the Groot Omroepkoor, vocal soloists from the choir and the Radio Philharmonic Orchestra on Requiem compositions by Mozart, Verdi and Brahms, among others, and - in the summer of 2019 - on a dazzling opera spectacle.
The 6th Great Singing Concert will take place in TivoliVredenburg. On the program, by popular demand, the beautiful Ein deutsches Requiem by Johannes Brahms.
