Unfortunately, due to illness of one of the musicians, the Idema/Serierse Quartet cannot perform in the lineup previously announced. Anna Serierse will now fill out this concert with pianist Sebastiaan van Bavel.

Serierse and Van Bavel first met in 2004 at a concert on "Langs de Lijn" in Bussum. After not seeing each other for years, their musical paths crossed again several years ago. The musical connection between these two musicians can definitely be called special. Both grew up in a musical environment, both fathers were jazz musicians. Music flows in their veins and forms an important connection.

For this concert, Anna Serierse and Sebastiaan van Bavel have put together a program with a colorful range of styles: compositions from the Great American Songbook, Brazilian ballads, modern compositions and even classical. Style is thus secondary, because what matters to these musicians is finding new ways to come together in sound, text and improvisation.
