NJO: the Sacre and a world premiere

Programme

  • Olivier Messiaen Les offrandes oubliées
  • Maurice Ravel Second Suite Daphnis et Chloé
  • Bram Kortekaas Ode to Stravinsky (world premiere)
  • Igor Stravinsky Le sacre du printemps

In this concert, the National Youth Orchestra and artistic advisor and guest conductor Antony Hermus join forces for a very special program. Thus, after Messiaen and Ravel, the world premiere of Ode to Stravinsky by the young composer Bram Kortekaas, who studied with Willem Jeths and Wim Henderickx in Amsterdam, will be heard. Igor Stravinsky's revolutionary "Spring Pictures from Pagan Russia" will conclude the concert.
