Piano en Passie (2) - Piano duo Scholtes & Janssens: a fairy tale à quatre mains

A few seasons ago, we heard Lestari Scholtes and Gwylim Janssens in an impressive arrangement for quatre-mains of Mussorgsky's Pictures at an Exhibition. An almost self-evident sequel is now on offer: the fairytale world of One Thousand and One Nights in Rimsky-Korsakov's Sheherazade. And then there is La Belle Excentrique, a suite of four short nostalgic dances, full of humour and musical witticisms. So don't take the subtitle 'Fantasie sérieuse', which Erik Satie gave the work, too seriously.
