Piano and Passion (3) - Nikola Meeuwsen: CANCELLED

The recital by Nikola Meeuwsen has been cancelled due to the recent coronation measures. Ticket buyers will receive further notice from the Muziekcentrum van de Omroep.

A remarkable young piano talent of the Netherlands is Nikola Meeuwsen. After hearing Rachmaninov's Third Piano Concerto in a performance by Vladimir Horowitz at age six, Nikola knew he wanted to become a pianist. In 2019 he was awarded the Concertgebouw Young Talent Award. NRC called him 'a talent to keep an eye on'. You will get that chance with this - very demanding - piano recital, in which Nikola combines Robert Schumann's Fantasy (dedicated to Franz Liszt) with the iconic Sonata in b, which Liszt in turn dedicated to Schumann.
