Pieces of Tomorrow - Wagner & Rachmaninov
Programme
- Richard Wagner from Tristan und Isolde: Vorspiel und Liebestod
- Sergei Rachmaninov Parts from the Third Symphony
Casual enjoyment of classical music, that is the magic formula of Pieces of Tomorrow. No dress code, we start a little later, the musicians briefly introduce what they are going to play, your beer is allowed inside, DJ St. Paul is our host, visuals support the story and otherwise we let the music speak, it needs no adaptation.
In this concert: parts from Wagner's opera Tristan und Isolde, a moving love drama about the Irish princess Isolde and the brave young Tristan. Another drama unfolds in the life and music of Russian composer Sergei Rachmaninov. He could dream endlessly about the Russian landscape and the places he had to leave, chased away by those in power. Listen to his beautiful Third Symphony, performed by the Radio Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Dima Slobodeniouk.
After the concert, the party continues until midnight. The bar is open, dj. St. Paul provides danceable tunes, and the musicians mingle with the audience for a chat.
