Movie music on Sunday mornings
What would modern blockbuster movies be without music? Nowhere! With the best film music, you don't even need images; that music can stand on its own. This Sunday Morning Concert will feature some of Hollywood's most beautiful, poignant and exciting soundtracks. By John Williams, the program features music from Star Wars, Superman, Indiana Jones, Jurassic Park, Jaws, E.T. and Hook. In addition, Alan Silvestri's music for Forrest Gump, Hans Zimmer's soundtrack for The Gladiator and Klaus Badelt's music for Pirates of the Caribbean will also be heard.
John Williams
With 52 Oscar nominations, John Williams has been at the absolute top for more than half a century. He became famous for his collaborations with Steven Spielberg, George Lucas and many other directors. What makes Williams unique is that in addition to his work in the studios, he was also conductor of The Boston Pops Orchestra for many years, so he knows the orchestra inside and out. Therefore, his music live - without studio effects - always sounds great, too. This concert, bursting with bombastic richness of sound, will undoubtedly make the most beautiful movie scenes appear on your retinas.
