Annelie Brinkhof

Annelie Brinkhof (1965) is soprano in the Groot Omroepkoor.

She began her singing studies at the Utrecht Conservatoire and graduated from the Royal Conservatoire Amsterdam as a performing musician in 1996. That year she won first prize at the Arleen Auger Competition. She followed the two-year full-time opera course at the International Opera Centre Nederland. During this study she made her debut in the role of Pamina at Oper der Stadt Bonn.

At the conservatoire, Annelie had lessons from Eugenie Ditewig and Udo Reinemann. She then worked with repetiteur Hans Schellevis and took lessons with Amand Hekkers.

From 1993 to 2006, Annelie sang roles in various opera companies, including Opera Zuid, the Nationale Reisopera, DNO, Scottish National Opera, Transparant Antwerpen. She also sang leading roles in the Hoofdstadoperette. Furthermore, she worked with the ensembles Gli Innamorati, Musica ad Rhenum and Insomnio. For one season, she worked with Joop van den Ende in the musical The Sound of Music. She also performs frequently in oratorios. For composer Han Otten, Annelie sang various soundtracks in dance performances (NDT) and feature films (e.g. Zwarte Zwanen). Since 2006, Annelie has sung with the Groot Omroepkoor.

Horses have been an important part of Annelie's life since her early childhood. As a coach, she uses horses in a playful way and according to the principle 'horses mirror emotions' to help participants in their process of awareness and personal growth.
