Annemarie Konijnenburg

Annemarie Konijnenburg is viola player in the Radio Philharmonic Orchestra. She was born in Stadskanaal in 1975 and initially studied the violin with Emmy Verhey and Chris Duindam. She completed the first phase in 1998 and obtained the same diploma for viola a year later. Her teachers were Prunella Pacey and Nobuko Imai. In 2002, she completed the second phase.

During her studies, Annemarie played in the National Youth Orchestra as a violinist and viola player. She substituted in the Netherlands Chamber Orchestra, the Radio Symphony Orchestra and the Radio Philharmonic Orchestra. From 2004 to 2006 she was principal study teacher at the Zwolle Conservatoire. She was also active in the field of chamber music. During her studies she was a member of the Tagore quartet, the Gaudae trio and Camerata Antonio Lucio.

Annemarie has been a permanent member of the Radio Philharmonic Orchestra since 2001. She also performs chamber music and has a teaching practice.
