Eduard Zlatkin

The Israeli double bass player Eduard Zlatkin has been playing in the Radio Philharmonic Orchestra since 2000. Until August 2013 he was also double bassist in the Radio Chamber Philharmonic. He was born in 1960 in Minsk in present-day Belarus. Eduard studied with Boris Kozlov at the St. Petersburg Music Academy. He completed his studies in 1988.

Eduard Zlatkin won the second prize at the National Double Bass Competition of the Soviet Union. From 1984 to 1988, he was a member of the Leningrad Chamber Orchestra. He then played for two years in the opera and ballet orchestra of the Kirov Theatre. He was the leader of the double bass in the Haifa Symphony Orchestra from 1990 to 2000.
