Hans Zonderop

Hans Zonderop is 1st percussionist in the Radio Philharmonic Orchestra. He studied in Utrecht with a.o. Michael de Roo, Peter Ypma, Jeroen Goldsteen and Keiko Abe. In 1989 he obtained his UM-diploma. During and after his studies, Hans Zonderop played in various orchestras and ensembles.

Hans was also a percussionist in Circle Percussion. In this ensemble, he specialised in playing Japanese drums. With Circle Percussion, together with the Nederlands Danstheater, Keiko Abe and the Japanese percussion group KODO, he toured all over the world. Besides his work in the Radio Philharmonic Orchestra, Hans Zonderop is currently a teacher at the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague. He is also percussionist in the Lucerne Festival Orchestra.
