Mark Haeldermans

Mark Haeldermans is principal percussionist and timpanist in the Radio Philharmonic Orchestra. Until August 2013 he also held this position in the Radio Chamber Philharmonic.

He was born in 1968 in Maaseik, Belgium. He studied at the Maastricht Academy of Music, where he graduated as a performing musician in 1994. His teachers were Pieter Jansen, Werner Otten and Ruud Wiener.
Since 1993, Mark has worked with the broadcasting orchestras. He is also a member of the Amsterdam Percussion Group and the Lucerne Festival Orchestra. He is also a regular guest with various national orchestras.
