Alberto Facanha Johnson

Alberto Facanha plays the violin in the Radio Philharmonic Orchestra. Alberto was born in 1966 in Salvador, Brazil. From 1983 to 1986 he studied at the University of Paraiba. After that he went to the International Menuhin Music Academy.

He continued his studies at the Hochschule für Musik in Cologne, where he graduated in 1993. His teachers were Annie Josette Facanha, Erick Leninger, Alberto Lysy, Mi-Kyung Lee, Susanne Rabenschlag and Herman Krebbers. Alberto has previously played in the Deutsche Kammerakademie Neuss am Rhein, the Klassische Philharmonie Bonn and the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra. Since 1997 he has been a permanent member of the Radio Philharmonic Orchestra.
