Liesbeth Vanderhallen

Liesbeth Vanderhallen (soprano) studied classical singing with Henny Diemer and took the opera class of Monique Wagemakers at the Utrecht Conservatory, HKU.

During her graduation year she sang solo with Jos van Veldhoven, Cappella Figuralis of the Nederlandse Bachvereniging, performed in the European Festival Chorus during the Salzburger OsterFestspiele conducted by Claudio Abbado, and in the summer of her graduation she performed the roles Second woman and First witch from Dido and Aeneas by Henry Purcell during the Nazomer Festival Zeeland on Neeltje Jans. Immediately afterwards, she sang the title role in l' Enfant et les sortilèges by Maurice Ravel, conducted by M.M. Driessen, M. Bons. Several opera roles, oratorio solos and song recitals followed, as well as productions in various professional choirs. Since 2001 Liesbeth has sung in the Groot Omroepkoor.
