Uroš Petrač

Slovenian tenor Uroš Petrač studied with Professor Tatjana Vasle and Doroteja Cestnik-Spasić at the Ljubljana Conservatory. In 2002, he took second place in the Slovenian Grand Prix.

In 2003, Uroš continued his vocal studies at the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague. He studied under Barbara Pearson and Rita Dams. He received his bachelor's degree in 2008 and his master's degree in 2010. Uroš was a member of the ensemble of the Nederlandse Opera Studio in the season 2012-2013. His repertoire ranges from opera, oratorio and song to early music.

In Slovenia, Germany, the United States, Ireland and South Korea, Uroš has given various recitals and concerts, including cantatas, masses, the Magnificat and the Johannes Passion by C.Ph.E. Bach, the Requiem by Mozart and Bruckner, Benjamin Britten's Rejoice in the Lamb and Uriel in Haydn's Die Schöpfung.

He performed roles in operas such as Mozart's Bastien und Bastienne (Bastien) and Die Zauberflöte (Monostatos) in France and in 2015 in the young talent programme at the Nationale Opera Don Ottavio in Mozart's Don Giovanni, the page in Verdi's Rigoletto, Nemorino in Donizetti's L'elisir d'amore, Orpheus in La descente d'Orphée aux enfers by Charpentier, Linfea in Cavalli's La Calisto and Alfred and Blind in Die Fledermaus by Strauss.

Since August 2015, Uros has been employed by the Groot Omroepkoor as first tenor. In addition, he is engaged in various solo projects.
