Vincent Cox

Vincent Cox is second percussionist in the Radio Philharmonic Orchestra. Vincent was born in 1973 in Ittervoort. After obtaining his gymnasium diploma he studied classical percussion at the Maastricht Academy of Music.

In 1997, he obtained the diploma Teaching Musician with distinction. In 2000, he received his Performing Musician diploma, also with distinction. His teachers were Pieter Jansen and Werner Otten.

During his studies, Vincent Cox played in the European Union Youth Orchestra and worked with conductors such as Bernard Haitink, Sir Colin Davis and Vladimir Ashkenazy. From 1997 to 1999 he was first percussionist with the Limburg Symphony Orchestra in Maastricht. Since 1999 he has been working with the Radio Philharmonic Orchestra. Until August 2013 he was also percussionist of the Radio Chamber Philharmonic. In addition to his orchestral work, Vincent Cox composes music for percussion ensembles and orchestras. His music is published by Dutch Music Partners.
