Marc Korovitch will be the permanent guest conductor of the Groot Omroepkoor starting with the 2027–2028 season.

We are delighted to announce that Marc Korovitch has been appointed principal guest conductor of the Groot Omroepkoor. Starting with the 2027–2028 season, he will join the choir on a permanent basis, marking the beginning of our artistic collaboration.

Marc Korovitch is, among other things, the choir director of the Swedish Radio Choir and also holds leading positions with various European orchestras and choirs. In recent years, he has worked with the Groot Omroepkoor on several occasions. His strong musical chemistry and inspiring approach immediately stood out. This appointment underscores our ambition to continue working at the highest international level and to further strengthen our versatile artistic profile.

Marc will take on his new role alongside chief conductor Florian Helgath, who will also begin his tenure in the 2027–2028 season.

About Marc Korovitch

Marc Korovitch has been the choir director of the Swedish Radio Choir since 2018. He is also the chief conductor of the Orchestre Colonne in Paris (starting in 2022) and of the Montenegro Symphony Orchestra (starting in 2023). Since 2024, he has been chief conductor of the Spanish Radio and Television Choir, and starting in 2026, he will also serve as principal guest conductor of the Spanish Radio and Television Orchestra.

In addition, he regularly collaborates with radio choirs in Germany, France, Croatia, Serbia, and Poland, as well as with ensembles such as Accentus, the Coro de la Comunidad de Madrid, and the Eric Ericson Chamber Choir.

Driven by a deep passion for education, he taught conducting in Paris and is involved in various masterclass programs throughout Europe, from Portugal to Norway, as well as in competitions such as the Eric Ericson Award.
