On 12 October 2019, Karina Canellakis made her debut as chief conductor of the Radio Philharmonic Orchestra (RFO) during the NTR Saturday Matinee at the Concertgebouw Amsterdam. During the break from rehearsals, double bassist Wilmar de Visser and oboist Aisling Casey from the orchestra spoke with their new chief. among other things, about her time in Dallas and the connecting power of music.
