Pieces of Tomorrow: Dvořák and Saint-Saëns

Programme

  • Camille Saint-Saëns Danse macabre
  • Antonín Dvořák Parts from the Ninth symphony 'From the New World'

At last! Pieces of Tomorrow is back! With a wonderful programme: Dvořák's Ninth aka 'The New World' and Saint-Saëns' Danse Macabre.
The Czechoslovakian Antonín Dvořák became the head of the New York Conservatory against his will. Consumed by homesickness, he wrote a great symphony in which you can hear both Bohemian forests and American old folk music. Saint-Saëns' Danse Macabre had also been on the wish list for a long time. Yes, the one from the Efteling's Haunted Castle. The kind of piece that everyone thinks is played every week, but in reality is hardly ever programmed. Of course with the Radio Philharmonic and host St. Paul.

About Pieces of Tomorrow

Pop and classical music join forces to present Pieces of Tomorrow: classical music in a new guise. No dress code, we start a bit later, the musicians briefly introduce what they are going to play, you can take your beer inside, DJ St. Paul is our host, visuals support the story and we let the music do the talking, it needs no adjustment. Immerse yourself in the sound of a full symphony orchestra!
