Annelies van Nuffelen

Annelies Van Nuffelen (°1983, Aarschot, Belgium) began her musical studies at the Municipal Academy for Music, Word and Dance of Heist-op-den-Berg in Belgium. There she took horn, piano and singing lessons. She then studied horn at the Royal Flemish Conservatoire in Antwerp with Rik Vercruysse, where she obtained her Meester in de Muziek diploma with great distinction in 2006. From 2004, she also studied at the Hochschule für Musik in Cologne with Paul Van Zelm.

Annelies took part in various master classes with, among others, Hermann Baumann, Froydis Ree Wekre, Frank Lloyd, Nico de Marchi and Francis Orval. Annelies substituted in various orchestras, including deFilharmonie, the Flemish Opera, l'Orchestre Philharmonique de Liège and the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra. From 2005 to 2009, she was solo horn player with the Brussels Philharmonic, the former Flemish Radio Orchestra. Since 2009 Annelies is solo horn player of the Radio Philharmonic Orchestra.
