Deniz Yilmaz
The tenor Deniz Yilmaz was born in Adana, Turkey. He graduated from the Opera Department of the Turkish Cukurova Conservatory and made his debut as Alfredo in the Mersin Opera (Turkey).
From 2002 to 2006 he studied at the Univiersity of Arts (UdK) Berlin with Professor KS Gabriele Schnaut. He took part in master classes with Karen Armstrong, Kristzina Laki, Francisco Araiza, Eva Randova, Thomas Moser of Biserka Dvejic and the International Opera Studio in Zurich.
He also worked with Raul Gimenez at the Barcelona Concertante Academy.
Denis was a prize winner of the Dykowitch Competition (Bulgaria) and the Paul Hindemith Foundation Prize. He has worked with conductors such as Nello Santi, Adam Fisher, Elvind Gulberg Jensen, Ingo Metzmacher and directors such as Gian Carlo del Monaco, Grischa Asagaroff, Jens-Daniel Herzog, Hans Spoerli and many others. Since April 2010, he has been a member of the Groot Omroepkoor.
