Gerrie Rodenhuis
Gerrie Rodenhuis joined the Radio Chamber Philharmonic as first violinist in August 2005.
She has held this position with the Radio Philharmonic Orchestra since August 2013. She was born in Amsterdam and studied the violin with Ilya Grubert. During her studies she took master classes with Zinaïda Gilels and Pavel Vernikov. In 1993 she graduated as a performing musician. She then followed the chamber music specialisation with Ilya Grubert and Jean-Jacques Kantorow.
Gerrie was a permanent member of Nieuw Sinfonietta Amsterdam from 1990 to 1993. From 1995 to 2005 she was deputy leader of the second violins of the Radio Symphony Orchestra.
Alongside her job at the Radio Philharmonic Orchestra, Gerrie is active in the field of chamber music in various line-ups. She also gives concerts and performances with Camerata Amsterdam.
